2010 GNU Billy Goat C2BTX
|
|
From the manufacturer: Temple's new Billy Goat model is just that, a brand new board...featuring revolutionary freeride and power freestyle C2BTX geometries. C2 combines the best features of camber and banana technology into one all-terrain design for aggressive, experienced snowboarders. You get the end-to-end stability and pop that camber offers...combined with the carving performance and soft snow float of Banana Tech between your feet. C2BTX is Temple's geometry of choice...whether carving perfect, efficient turns for a time or negotiating an icy exposed chute to get to the pow that no one else can get too or jibbing around teaching son Cannon the ropes. Solid construction, AnviTex dampener, strong eco wood farmed cores and a sintered base.

Really stable in all conditionsGreat all mountain chargerHandles steeps, pillows and drops like a dreamGood in powNice popResponsive handlingMatt - "Dreamy Dreamerson like a Cadillac with Baja suspension."

Too soft (see Expert Review)Not as good as expected in pow

The Billy Goat C2BTX is an advanced to expert freeride machine. The narrow waist and deep side cut provide agile handling and quickness edge to edge. The 5-point MTX provides solid edge hold. The tapered shape makes it good in powder, but not as good as a pow-specific board. Above all, this is a charger.
Note that the manufacturer promised us that our demo model was softer than the final production run.
