Comments: I'm used to ride stiff Boards like the Lib Tech T. rice, but even this mid stiff Board is super fun.It has a great pop, the long lifted nose brings a lot of float in the deep stuff and the flying v rocker has the best of bothworlds.Although this board is for backcountry freestyle, i woukd recommend tihs board also to a allmountain or even a freestyle park rider.As far as the floatation goes, its a real alternative to the fish or malolo.If you you want this baby to ride the park, shift the bindings forward, twin it out and have fun-but a real backcountry-freestyle board should be a real truetwin.Servas from germany-have fun shredding

Comments: My home hill is called "seven oaks", and is a small 4 run place in Iowa. Took my 160cm Sherlock out for the first time last Weds night & was IMPRESSED I centered my stance, and can't feel a difference of this thing being set up for powder, though a shaved few MM's here & there & it supposedly is. I believe I could feel the tighter turning radius in the board though, it made it more nimble, and I loved having that. The board transitions from edge to edge very well, and the frostbite edges DO help in keeping an edge while carving w/ some speed. I didn't take this board @ full speed much, as I'm still learning the nuances of the Flying V. LIKE: when getting off of a lift, or traversing a catwalk, the V in the middle makes the board want to spin & not track as straight or turn as easily when unbuckled from the binding. If you're not going straight, it wants to spin, so that takes some getting used to. On my old camber board I could direct & turn any direction (heel or toe) & it would still steer easily. To follow up, it seemed like I could trust this board @ speed, just haven't pushed it 100% yet. Probably about 85% on slightly icy conditions, and the Frostbite edges held very well. One other thing I noticed about this board: I'm a big guy, not as nimble of a skater as I used to be if you know what I mean. When I was buckled in on the catwalk, and did a few nollies to get some glide going, I COULD NOT BELIEVE how quickly & high the nose snapped me up into the air. It was SUCH a joy to feel. A few hops on the nose in a row, and I was actually jumping TOO high. It was fun. I can't wait to play some more w/ the flex in the tips on the Sherlock. Like I mentioned about my lack of agility right now - I'm STILL looking forward to trying a couple of park slides on this board, as it makes me feel like I can "still do it". So far, this is a FUN board, passes my rigor tests, and will help me play in the park as well. This may be a "quiver killer", as some have said already.
