What is Burton Snowboards' V-Rocker?
The V-Rocker is a three-stage rocker that’s equally fun from park to pow, V-Rocker™ features a center rocker between your feet, with additional rockers outside each foot that lift the tip and tail completely off the snow. Along the Channel zones, we added Pressure Distribution Edges for enhanced grip and power that balances the board’s loose and forgiving, skate-like feel. Together, the V-Rocker package energizes edge control while disengaging tip and tail contact points to create a catch-free feel that’s incredibly forgiving, floaty, poppy, and fun on all terrain. Enjoyed by team riders such as Mikey Rencz, Marko Grilc, Chris Sörman, Sani Alibabic, Dimitry Fesenko, and Jack Mitrani.

What is Burton Snowboards' Smooth Ride Technology?
Smooth Ride™ dampening technology, exclusive to the Burton T6™, is designed to let you react quicker, go bigger, and ride faster for longer with less impact on your body. Chatter, vibration, and the shock from flat landings gets absorbed by the board before making it to your body.

What is Burton Snowboards' The Channel technology?
The Channel is snowboarding’s most direct connection—focusing power through a central connection spine that evenly distributes energy for added rebound and snap. It works with both Burton’s 3D® and EST™ bindings, and lets you mount bindings to board any way you see fit. Easily dial in your stance width and angles with next-level micro-adjustability.

What is Burton Snowboards’ Ultrameth Construction?
The culmination of 33 years of board-building experience, UltraMeth™ construction on Burton's NEW Method represents a paradigm shift in high-performance. Blending unconventional design with the latest in aerospace technology, UltraMeth replaces glass with a NEW S2 carbon composite that maximizes strength while minimizing weight. Every element from edges, core, and sidewalls to the plug inserts on the Channel has been analyzed in terms of function and performance. With a seemingly paradoxical mix of featherweight construction and premium performance, the result is a board that not only challenges convention, but also the law of physics.

What is Burton Snowboards' Freestyle Scoop?
The Freestyle Scoop is an exaggerated spoon shape that creates a more forgiving feel by turning the edges up at the tip and tail. We’ve taken the Scoop in two directions for 2010. The Park Scoop excels at jibbing, pressing, and buttering thanks to steeper, more aggressive scooping that extends slightly into the board’s running length. For a more versatile ride that adds looseness and float, the NEW Freestyle Scoop features mellower scooping that tapers off just before the contact points.

What is Burton Snowboards' S-Rocker?
Speed and float are your friends, and that’s what S-Rocker is all about. Entry rocker extends from the nose of the board to under your front foot, then transitions to a traditional camber under your back foot that is positioned to match the board’s setback stance. When you compress and ‘punch’ the camber under your back foot it causes the entry rocker to naturally lift the nose. This design keeps the nose afloat and helps maintain momentum through the deepest turns and variable conditions, meaning more control, speed, and maneuverability with even less effort.Enjoyed by Terje Haakonsen, Nicolas Müller, Jake Burton and anyone else who seeks enlightenment through deep snow meditation.

What is Burton Snowboards' Cruise Control?
Cruise Control™ boosts confidence with the catch-free combo of a softer flex and mellower edge tune. On the Clash™, Bullet™, and Feather™ the nose is fully convex, whereas park boards like the Blunt and NEW Social are convex at the nose and tail for effortless fun regular or switch.

What is Burton Snowboards' New Party Rocker?
Inspired by the feel of skating, our NEW P-Rocker features Zero Camber between your feet with rockers outside each foot like a skateboard that lift the tip and tail completely off the snow. Super easy to slip and slide, this shape makes the board feel loose, soft, and effortless to press and butter. Hungry shred or seasoned pro, mini shred to mega jib, P-Rocker will fuel your park creativity. Enjoyed by team riders such as Yale Cousino, Mark Sollars, and Sami Saarenpää.

What is Burton Snowboards' Stainless Steel Pressure Distribution Edges?
To help simplify things, we've assigned a single "feel" rating to each of our boards. This number is based on a variety of factors including the board’s materials, shape, tip-to-tail flex, and torsion (aka edge-to-edge rigidity). This number is based on a scale from one to ten with one being softer and more relaxed and ten being most responsive. Keep in mind that a higher number doesn't mean the board is more difficult to ride. It simply helps you compare boards within our line to determine which is best for your riding style.
